Review: @DREAMS

@DREAMS
-By Joginder Rohilla

All our dreams can come true, if we have the courage to pursue them.
-Walt Disney

Plot:

@Dreams is based on the power our dreams have with which we can achieve even what is termed ‘impossible’. The protagonist Umang Saxena is a middle class boy who has a dream of solving his family’s financial problems like his elder brother Swastik. Because of his marks, he was able to get into one of the prestigious engineering institutions. There, he met Virat and Samar who became his lifeline. Their friendship grew deeper when the three of them realized their individual
dreams of life. In between his college life, an emotional miss-hap broke his determination and will. Will he be able to get over it and fulfill his dreams? Read this enthralling journey of dreams to unlock all the answers.

My Opinion:

Positives:

A wonderfully written ride of love, dreams, life, friendship and determination, this story will surely take you to your college days. All the fun and mischiefs experienced by the three friends, their bubbling stories of love, ragging, bunking and first time drinking will make you remember all your friends from the college time. One of the best parts of the book was the lovely quotations by author under the name “Learing Therapy” after the ending of each chapter. One of my favorite Learning Therapy was:
“We must nurture our dream in every aspect of life. Dreams have immense power, potential, hope and motivation. One must nurture one’s dreams like a plant. A well nurtured plant grows and blooms beyond expectations. Revising dreams is like watering the plant of dreams which will make the roots stronger and will help you grow higher and higher.”

Negatives:

The story started with a perfect pace, but in the ending chapters, I found it running a bit fast. The characters involved in the book including that of Swastik could have been a bit more defined. Though I found the narration a bit simpler, the story and the lovely moments of a student’s life left a wide smile on my face.

Overall Opinion:
All in all, this is a story about Umang and his dreams which inspire him to achieve the objectives he dreamed of. This reading experience will definitely inspire you to dream and will gift you the determination to achieve all what you have desired.
